The suite of Texas McCombs Working Professional MBA programs landed at No. 7 among 70 ranked programs in Fortune magazine’s inaugural list of part-time MBAs.

The Working Professional Programs at McCombs include the Texas Evening MBA as well as the Dallas and Houston weekend programs.

Leading the ranking, respectively, were the University of Chicago, New York University, and the University of Michigan.

Fortune debuted the ranking on its new hub for business school and continuing education, Fortune Education, where it complemented inventories of online and on-campus (full-time) MBA programs, as well as executive MBA programs.

Fortune’s methodology included average years of work experience, GMAT, and GPA (60 percent), a survey of 2,500 business professionals and hiring managers on the school’s overall brand (25 percent), and the number of the school’s MBA alumni holding C-Suite positions in Fortune 1000 companies (15 percent).
