High Marks for MBA Programs
In a historic first, 7 Texas McCombs graduate business specialties land in the top 10 in U.S. News & World Report rankings
The Texas McCombs Full-Time MBA Program continued its long-standing top 20 position in the 2023 edition of U.S. News & World Report’s survey of the nation’s best graduate schools of business. The program was ranked №18 in the country this year.
The Texas McCombs MBA has counted itself among the top 20 programs in 30 of the past 31 years. Among public schools, the program ranked fifth and has counted itself among the top five for the past 18 years.
Specialty Rankings
The U.S. News ranking also considers strengths in subject areas. This year a record seven McCombs business specialties made the top 10:
• Accounting: No. 1 (16th year in a row at No. 1 and 30th year in a row among the top five)
• Information Systems: No. 6 (30th year in the top 10)
• Business Analytics: No. 7 (third year in top 10; category only three years old)
• Real Estate: No. 7
• Project Management: No. 7
• Entrepreneurship: No. 8(26th consecutive year in the top 10)
• Marketing: No. 9
Working Professional MBA No. 8
In the part-time MBA rankings, McCombs ranked No. 8. The working professional MBA programs at McCombs, which include the Texas Evening MBA, the Texas MBA at Houston, and the Texas MBA at Dallas/Fort Worth, have held top 10 status for the past 13 years.
Executive MBA No. 17
The Texas Executive MBA took rank No. 17 in the executive rankings. The program has enjoyed top 20 status for 18 of the past 20 years.
