The human resources field is at a pivot point with the increased influence of people analytics, a data-driven approach to managing people in the workplace.
Leading-edge human resource professionals are now using data and sophisticated analysis on multiple people-related issues, such as recruiting, performance evaluation, leadership, hiring and promotion, job and team design, and compensation. By incorporating people analytics into the work process, human resource professionals are directly supporting an organization’s strategic goals, in addition to administrative support functions.
“There’s also growing evidence that leveraging human capital improves firm performance and sustains competitive advantage,” says Profesor Sekou Bermiss. “Unfortunately, many managers continue to engage in practices that reflect outdated knowledge and beliefs, leading to dysfunctional outcomes that can be very costly.”
What you will learn:
- How companies have used data to strategically hire, socialize, appraise, reward, and retain talent.
- The latest research on the practices and analytical frameworks that are helping managers leverage human capital.
- How you can start implementing this approach in your organization.
