The Texas McCombs Full-Time MBA Program broke the top 20 in Bloomberg Businessweek’s 2022–23 assessment of the best business schools in the nation, rising two ranks to reach No. 19 in the country.

Among public schools, McCombs came in at No. 5, just ahead of UCLA, and behind Virginia (9), Berkeley (14), Michigan (15) and Georgia Tech (18).

Now in its 21st season, the Businessweek ranking has changed its methodology multiple times since its inception in 1988, but it has always centered heavily on student, alumni, and employer opinion.

The 2022–23 methodology addresses compensation (37%), the learning environment (26%), networking potential (17%), entrepreneurship (12%), and diversity (8%). The current assessment surveyed the Class of 2022, three years of alumni (graduates of 2014 through 2016), and employers who hired MBAs for full-time positions in 2020 and 2021. Complete details here.
