Professor John Griffin Named VP of Western Finance Association
McCombs School of Business Professor John Griffin has been named vice president of the Western Finance Association, one of the leading organizations in finance.
Griffin was selected by the WFA, a professional society for academics and practitioners with a scholarly interest in finance research, based on his body of academic work, reputation in the finance profession, ability to work with others to organize the WFA conference, and his past commitment to the WFA.
For the last two years, Griffin was a director for the association. Under the organization’s four-year commitment system, Griffin will automatically follow a progression to association president. McCombs Finance Professors Laura Starks and Sheridan Titman have served as past WFA presidents.
