Cris Eugster, COO of CPS Energy is responsible for overall operations and strategy for CPS Energy including over 7500MW of generation capacity, 12,600 miles of electrical distribution, 1,500 miles of electrical transmission, and 5,300 miles of gas distribution system. He is also responsible for corporate strategy including the integration of new technologies and the development of new products and services for our customers.
Eugster was formerly a Partner with McKinsey and Company. He has a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University, and a Master of Science and Doctorate from MIT — all in Electrical Engineering
Kate Rogers serves as president of The Holdsworth Center.
Rogers previously served as the vice president of corporate communication and health at H-E-B, where she oversaw all internal media and corporate communications as well as employee engagement programs for the company. While at H-E-B, Rogers created and launched the company’s early childhood literacy program, Read 3, which provides an in-store experience, a community outreach curriculum, and access to free and affordable books to ensure all children begin their school experience with an opportunity to succeed.
In 2006, Rogers was awarded Ford’s Salute to Education award for her work in creating the H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards, the largest monetary awards program in the state honoring outstanding public school teachers, principals and districts. She is currently leading the development of a series of career-themed high schools known as the Centers for Applied Science and Technology (CAST) to support San Antonio students in reaching their maximum potential while also helping to fill local workforce needs.
Rogers also led the H-E-B Health and Wellness Task Force, H-E-B’s Statewide Advisory Board of Health and was responsible for the launch of H-E-B’s Nutrition Services and the Slim Down Showdown.
Rogers is a native of Corpus Christi and earned her bachelor’s degree in advertising/public relations from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. Rogers is a graduate of the Leadership Austin Class of 2000 and the Leadership San Antonio Class of 2005. She serves on the boards of the Witte Museum, the San Antonio Sports Foundation, SA Works, and was the chair of the 2016 San Antonio Heart & Stroke Walk.
Keith Phillips joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas in January 1984. His areas of concentration include regional economics and economic forecasting. Research Papers in Economics, which tracks publications in economics, ranks Phillips in the top five percent of economists across the world in terms of the number of distinct publications. Over the past sixteen years, he has been the most accurate forecaster for Texas job growth in the Western Blue Chip Economic Forecast.
In August 1996, Phillips transferred to the San Antonio Branch in an effort to improve the regional economic coverage of the Dallas office and to better serve the needs of the South Texas community. He teaches courses in managerial economics and quantitative analysis in the executive MBA program at UTSA. He earned his Ph.D. in economics from Southern Methodist University and holds a BA and MA in economics and a bachelor of journalism degree in news/editorial from the University of Missouri at Columbia.
Jay C. Hartzell is the 12th dean of the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin, one of the largest and most distinguished business schools in the country. He joined UT in 2001 after teaching at New York University’s Stern School of Business, and prior to his current role, he held several key administrative roles at the McCombs School. His most notable positions include his service as the senior associate dean for Academic Affairs, chair of the Finance Department, and executive director of the McCombs School’s Real Estate Finance and Investment Center.
Hartzell holds the Centennial Chair in Business Education Leadership and the Trammell Crow Regents Professorship in Business. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration and Economics (cum laude) from Trinity University and a Ph.D. in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin. His research focuses on real estate finance, corporate finance and corporate governance. His articles have been published in the leading journals in the field, including the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Real Estate Economics, and the Review of Financial Studies. Hartzell serves on the editorial board of Real Estate Economics, and he served as an associate editor of the Review of Financial Studies, and as a member of the board of directors of the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association. In addition to his academic experience, Hartzell previously worked as a consultant with Hewitt Associates.
