TXCPA Editorial Board Chair

Accounting faculty member to lead influential Texas trade publication

The Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA) announced this week that Derrick Bonyuet, clinical assistant professor of accounting, has been selected to serve a two-year term as chair of the TXCPA Editorial Board.

The TXCPA Editorial Board plays a crucial role in providing oversight and review for TXCPA’s magazine, Today’s CPA, and its related supplements, both in print and digital formats. The board ensures the continued development of content that is accurate, relevant, fair, timely, readable, and appealing.

“Derrick has been a member of the editorial board since 2022, contributing significantly to its mission,” said Melinda Bentley, chief operating officer for TXCPA. “We look forward to the positive impact and leadership he will bring to the editorial board in the coming years.”

Representing 28,000 members, TXCPA is the largest association of accounting and finance professionals in Texas.
