McCombs Supporter Gets Big-Ticket Moment

The McCombs annual giving team recently gave away tickets to two UT football games as part of its fall giving campaign. Evelyn Chen was one of the lucky winners, receiving two tickets to the UT vs. Vanderbilt matchup Nov. 1 at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, where she was treated to a high-energy stadium experience.

“The weather was wonderful, the seats were amazing, and the Longhorn students and fans were electrifying,” she said. “It was such an exciting game to watch, and being able to attend was such an honor.”

Chen and her husband, Gifford, donated to the campaign, which was not required to win the tickets. But while the tickets were icing on the cake, she said her main motivator in giving back was to support the University.

“Both my kids, as well as my son-in-law, attended UT and graduated from McCombs,” she said. “So, it was wonderful to be back on campus after so many years.”
