The Texas Master of Science in Finance at the McCombs School of Business ranks No. 2 in the nation, and No. 1 among public schools, in the Financial Times 2023 ranking of MSF pre-experience degrees worldwide.

In Financial Times’ 12th annual ranking, the United States school ahead of McCombs was the University of Southern California.

McCombs rose seven ranks to No. 38 in the worldwide tally, which represents a historic high for the school. The top three spots went, respectively, to ESCP Business School, HEC Paris, and ESSEC Business School, all headquartered in France. The Financial Times’ higher education rankings are known for their global diversity, with 91 percent of the rated MSF programs located outside the U.S.

The Financial Times’ methodology includes alumni input on salary and career progress, school diversity issues, alumni satisfaction, and international mobility. For the current ranking, the Financial Times surveyed the MSF graduates of 2020.

Among online media, the Texas MSF also enjoys top 5 status. The program hit No. 5 in the 2023 Best Masters of Finance ranking from the Financial Engineer Times, which listed 100 U.S. programs using student quality and employment data.
