As Texas shifts CPA requirements, MPA scholarships help attract the best and brightest to the program

In a new era for MPA recruitment, graduate scholarships matter more than ever. Effective Aug. 1, Texas will introduce a new CPA certification pathway that allows students to qualify with 120 credit hours and additional work experience. With this option, more students may choose to enter the workforce rather than pursue a master’s degree.
We assert that the value of an MPA over the course of a career far outweighs the cost of our one-year programs. But for students weighing the options today, the availability of graduate scholarships can be a deciding factor. These fellowships boost the appeal of our worldclass graduate programs and elevate career potential for highly talented students.

The tuition transition from undergraduate to graduate status in either the integrated MPA or traditional MPA programs is significant. Fellowships (aka graduate scholarships) help to mitigate financial barriers to success and allow McCombs to compete for the very best students.
