9 faculty members recommended for advancement

President Jim Davis of The University of Texas has recommended nine business faculty members for promotion. They would assume their new titles ahead of the fall semester, on Aug. 16.

Lillian Mills, dean of the McCombs School of Business, said: “McCombs takes pride in its exceptional faculty members, who inspire and equip students to address society’s most significant challenges and create a positive impact. Their groundbreaking research and excellent teaching abilities help us to achieve our goal of becoming the world’s highest-impact public research university.”

The faculty members and their new titles are:

Accounting

Matthew Kubic — Associate professor.

David Verduzco — Associate professor of instruction.

Finance

Daniel Neuhann — Associate professor.

Dima Shamoun — Clinical associate professor.

Xavier Sztejnberg — Associate professor of instruction.

Information, Risk, and Operations Management

William Finney — Senior lecturer.

Daniel Mitchell — Clinical associate professor.

Hüseyin Tanriverdi — Professor.

Management

Michael Peterson — Associate professor of instruction.
