McCombs Online M.S. in Business Analytics Hits Top 10

The working professional MSBA took No. 8 in U.S. News & World Report’s list of top online business programs in the nation

In its first year to participate, the Texas McCombs Master of Science in Business Analytics Online Program landed at No. 8 in the 2026 release of the magazine’s Best Online Business Programs.

Topping the list this year were business schools at Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Southern California, which took first and second place, respectively.

The ranking, which does not include online MBAs, tallied 221 schools this year.

Launched in 2023, McCombs online MSBA is designed for working professionals. The two-year program graduated its first class in May of 2025. McCombs has offered a one-year, on-campus MSBA since 2013.

The ranking methodology for online programs includes: classroom engagement and instructor availability (30%); peer assessment from academics and school officials (25%); faculty credentials and training (15%); student experience (15%); and services and technologies (15%).
